This is where we live......

My wonderful partner and I live in what is rapidly becoming a mecca for GLBT folks: Houston, Texas. We will be posting news of the community from time to time, along with pictures of our friends, families and places that we like to visit and enjoy.
We are both OUT lesbians (one of us is transgendered) and we are very much at home with ourselves. We are also politically active within the GLBT community, and from time to time will be posting news articles and stories that we think will be interesting to the general public as well as the GLBT community.
For example, I recently took part in a rally to protest ExxonMobil's doing away with same-sex and domestic partnership benefits. Reminds me of the days when I hitch hiked to Birmingham to take part in one of Dr. King's marches.

These pictures were taken on our Handfasting Day ( which, for all of you out there that don't recognize the term, means that we're ENGAGED)). The beautiful blonde is my wonderful partner, Donna Martina, and I'm the other one in the green dress.
My wonderful wife-to-be is a project/software design engineer, and I am a happy camper! Our interests include but are not limited to: stimulating conversation, interesting places and trips, books, BooKs, BOOKS! ( in case you didn't understand, we are both voracious readers), gardening, camping and LOTS of political activism.
